Telly’s bug man cometh

This Halloween, Theatre by the Lake brings you an alternative to trick or treating in keeping with the creepy crawlie theme.

The Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers) invites you to join The One Show’s bug man, George McGavin, in an engaging and entertaining lecture that will transport you to the furthest reaches of the globe, exploring the weird and wonderful world of bugs.

From Guyana in the magnificent BBC series, Lost Land of the Volcano to Bhutan in the latest, amazing BBC series Lost Land of the Tiger, from giant butterflies and spiders to tiny caterpillars, author, lecturer and television presenter McGavin has explored the planet’s vast geography and unearthed a spectacular world of creepy crawlies that will leave you with a fantastic insight into the bizarre world of bugs.

The expert entomologist brings a fascinating and informative talk for bug lovers big and small, that will take you across the globe searching the undergrowth for some of the earth’s weirdest creatures.
