A young veterinary nurse is as pleased as the cat that got the cream after winning a prize in a competition at a national exhibition.
Serena Wood, from Capontree Veterinary Centre in Brampton, won a Kindle at the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) congress in Birmingham NEC Centre.
Serena was presented with her prize after getting the winning ticket in the competition organised by pet food manufacturer Royal Canin.
She said: “I couldn’t believe my luck when I won the Kindle.
“I had visited Royal Canin’s stand to learn a bit more about their dietary products for cats and dogs for my practice, when I spotted the competition and thought I would have a go. I can’t wait to start using it now.”
