- THANK YOU
Corby Hill / Warwick Bridge Chapel would like to thank everybody who came to their Coffee Morning and all who helped. We raised £210.00, this includes donations for chapel funds.
- GARDEN
The garden at the Church needs attention. Weeding, lawn mowing or just general maintenance. I will be there, weather permitting, on the following dates. Friday 26th. April from 10.00 am. and Saturday 4th. May from 10.00 am. I would be grateful for any help you can give. Ray Bloxham
- GILSLAND DANCE
on Friday 3rd. May 7.00 pm. At the Gilsland Village Hall. Tickets are £5.00 each which includes refreshments and there will also be a raffle. The evening is in aid of Chapel funds. Please contact Catherine Walker if you are interested.
- CHRISTIAN AID
There is a letter on the board in the Hall from Christian Aid thanking us for the £600+ we sent from the Lent Lunches.
Christian Aid Week this year runs from 12th—18th May.
The annual coffee morning will be held in the Moot Hall on Friday 10th May and as usual we are in charge of the cake stall.
The preacher on Sunday morning 12th May will be Matthew Johnson from the Christian Aid office in Warrington.
The House-to-House collection will take place during the week 12th-18th May and if you feel you can help please contact either Jim Williamson, B2321, or myself, B3502. The more collectors we have the less each of us needs to cover! Linda
- FOODBANK
Corby Hill / Warwick Bridge Chapel. It was decided at our Church Council that we would start collecting for the Carlisle Food bank. Its aim is to support those who are most deprived by providing food packs or vouchers. For further info contact Anne Anderson 01228 561372.
- MESSY CHURCH
Volunteers / occasional help wanted—please see Catriona, Rev. Andrew or Diana.
Messy Church bits and bobs box. Can you help? There is a box in the Crush Hall for donations for our messy activities eg. Collage items—material oddments, wool, tissue paper, card, shiny or patterned paper etc. Also can you spare a jar of jam or spread for our refreshments? Many Thanks.
- CHURCH BOOKINGS
If you are planning any kind of meeting or event on Church premises please would you contact either Linda or Martin first so that they can (a) check that the room is available, (b) put it in the Church Diary and (c) organise any necessary heating.
Linda and Martin B3502
- USED STAMPS
Please remember to continue to save your used stamps for the Leprosy Mission and put them in the box in the Foyer.
Note: the stamps become worthless if the perforations are damaged in any way. Please leave at least a quarter of an inch around each stamp Thank you, Beryl
