At the Church Annual Meeting it was agreed that as a church we would support one overseas charity during the coming year. The charity chosen for this year was EL Shaddai, a Christian charity that rescues street children and orphans in India. There is a notice on the notice board in the foyer with information about the work they do and how to support them, which I will keep updated. Also lots of information can be found on the web at http://www.childrescue.net/ or by speaking to Nan Martin who has first hand experience of the work they do. Nan
Corby Hill / Warwick Bridge Chapel. Its aim is to support those who are most deprived by providing food packs or vouchers. For further info contact Anne Anderson 01228 561372.  CARLISLE FOOD BANK. The need for the Food bank is growing all the time. Please continue to donate food items whenever you can. Food parcels are provided to cover just 3 days. So small packets of cereal, biscuits, sugar etc. please.
If you are planning any kind of meeting or event on Church premises please would you contact either Linda or Martin first so that they can (a) check that the room is available, (b) put it in the Church Diary and (c) organise any necessary heating.
