A huge shame for the town and community. You can never have enough community events that brings people together and also helps businesses to thrive.

I was so sorry to hear that yet another festival has been cancelled. The opportunities these events can offer are essential to this town and could stimulate trade and interest. I fully understand the impact of the recession on many but to come alongside people and bring them entertainment at such a time is what is needed to lift their spirits. I would be willing to serve on any events committee looking at social events in Brampton.
Please do not forget the Diamond Jubilee, Civic Service 3.00pm at Brampton Methodist Church Sunday 3rd June, to give thanks for our Queen and over sixty years of dedicated and committed service to our country.

Such a shame it's cancelled because of funding.. Seems not a lot is happening now in Brampton would love to see the original carnival back was always a great turnout... Sorry for all those involved

It was the businesses who were supporting this, it was organised by the Business Association, when sponsors backed out some local businesses stepped up & tried to help out.Stalkers Transport offered to provide a free stage, the Spar on Main Street offered help and we always support town evens from Hairport, hopefully the whole community will get together and bring back an annual carnival. I always say if you have a business in a small town you have to support community events, we do and even in this financial climate you can help in many ways, even if you have no money you can offer a helping hand.
