Virtual Baby Weekend
As part of our programme of holiday provision we have planned a Virtual Baby experience, so that participants can experience all aspects of having a newborn baby. This will be running 7-9th September in the annex. It will be a residential type event with sleepover in the youth room. The Babies are based on the schedules of 15 real babies and must be fed, rocked, burped and changed. A truly sophisticated piece of technology, the Babies are incredibly life like and respond to the care giver by cooing after go
od care (and burping too) and record all the care that has been given on the Care Report as well as rough handling, shaken baby, unsupported head and neglect.
There will be 10 places, 2 per baby. Couples and single participant applications welcome.
To secure a please place a short statement of why you would like to attend, and expression of interest by 23rd August 2012. Consent forms will follow for successful applicants
The deadline for the return of consent forms is 30th August 2012. Forms can be dropped off at youth club or at the community centre reception during office hours.
