Brampton salon owner to work for 24 hours for charity

A Brampton hair salon owner is to work for 24 hours solid donating all of her takings to charity.
Vikki Gordon, who owns The Studio on High Cross Street Brampton, will open the salon from 2.30pm on Friday, November 14, until 2.30pm the following day to raise money for Children in Need.
She will offer treatments at cut prices will all money going straight to charity.
Vikki and apprentice hair stylist Laura Gass will also work for nothing with their wages going into the charity bucket.
Vikki, of Dacre Road, said: “Every single penny that goes through the salon in the 24 hours will be given to charity.”
She added: “I decided to raise money for Children in Need because it is such a worthwhile cause and I have raised money for the charity before.
“I hope that local people rally round and support us and help raise as much as possible.”
All prices will be slashed with and cuts and finishes for £10 and all colours at £20.
The event also includes psychic readings from 5pm till 9pm by a local medium at a price of £15, with all money again going to charity.
A local woman has also volunteered to have her head shaved at midnight, and a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses will also be held on the day.
Free wine and a buffet will be available for those who contribute a donation to the charity.
